The key to reaching your goals is identifying your situation. If you’ve assessed the situation and you honestly can’t make time to workout effectively Monday-Friday, I’ll help you find ways to workout on the weekend while still staying active during the week.
Walk it out: If you can’t find the time for a mid-week workout, ditch the elevator and try walking up the stairs at work. You don’t have to run the stairs, just walk them casually. Also, get your buddies to leave the golf-cart behind. I can’t think of a better way to multi-task. You can talk business, while hanging out with your buddies, while exercising, while playing golf!! Believe me, it’s worth it. It will give you a chance to stay active and you’ll look like a badass!
Circuit training: Since you will be lifting weights on Saturday and Sunday, you will really need to maximize your time efficiency. The best way to do that is by using circuit training, or training all of your muscle groups in one session. This article is a great example of an effective circuit training regiment (for those of you who have experience in weightlifting) by Rusty Moore. For those of you who either haven’t been in the gym in a few years or just don’t have any experience lifting weights, write me and I’ll help you come up with a weekend weightlifting plan that can help you achieve your goals!
